Terms of Service & Refund Policy

These terms apply to the free website design and hosting & management service (the "Service") provided by Vanple Networks Inc. ("we", "us") to customers who apply for it ("you"). By agreeing to these terms on the application and completing payment, you enter into an agreement with us on these terms.

1. The Service

We design, build and set up your website and provide its SSL certificate at no charge. You prepay hosting and management yearly.

• Standard: $30/month ($360/year) — informational websites
• Business+: $40/month ($480/year) — when you need online payments or a store
• New domain: $30/year ($0 if you use a domain you already own)

All amounts are in Canadian dollars. GST or HST is added based on the province your business is in.

2. What we build

• Up to ten pages. For online stores, we load up to 30 products.
• Up to two rounds of changes after the first design.
• You supply your content — logo, photos, text. We polish the wording and may use properly licensed free stock images where photos are missing.
• Multilingual sites cover up to two languages; you supply the translated text.
• The first design is ready within two to three days, and the site launches within a week, of us receiving all your material. Late material or feedback moves the timeline accordingly.
• Anything beyond this scope — extra pages, booking or membership systems, integrations — is quoted separately.

3. Hosting and management

While the Service is active we provide hosting, SSL, backups and security updates, plus one small update per month such as replacing text or photos. Unused updates do not carry over.

4. Payment and automatic renewal

• The first year of hosting and management (and a new domain, if you chose one) is paid upfront when you apply. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• The Service renews automatically each year on the anniversary of your payment, on the same terms, and your saved payment method is charged for the next year.
• If prices change, we will email you at least 30 days before your renewal date.
• If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor will retry it. If it still cannot be collected, the Service may be suspended.

5. Cancellation

• You may cancel any time before your renewal date by emailing info@vanplenetworks.com or calling us. You will not be charged for the following year, and your site stays online until the end of the year you have paid for.
• Cancelling part-way through a year does not entitle you to a pro-rated refund, except as set out in section 6.

6. Refunds

• You receive a full refund if you ask within 7 days of paying and before we have started work on your design.
• Once design work has begun, the first year is non-refundable, because that work is what you receive free of charge.
• If a new domain has already been registered, the domain fee is non-refundable and the domain remains yours.
• A renewal payment is refunded if you ask within 7 days of the renewal date.

7. Domains

New domains are registered in your name (or your business's name) and managed by us while the Service is active. If your first choice is taken, we register one of the backups you listed or another name agreed with you. .ca domains must meet the Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) requirements. If you cancel, we give you what you need to transfer the domain.

8. Ownership

• You own the content you provide and must have the right to use it.
• The design and code we create are licensed for use on your website while the Service is active. On cancellation we return your content on request; taking over the site files is by separate agreement.
• Reference websites you share are used only to understand the style you want. We do not copy other sites' designs or content.

9. Acceptable use

We will not build or host sites with illegal or infringing content, adult content, or sites intended for fraud or spam, and we may end the Service if we find such use.

10. Limitation of liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running but are not responsible for interruptions caused by things outside our control, such as outages at hosting, payment or email providers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Changes and governing law

We post changes to these terms on this page and email you at least 30 days before any change that is unfavourable to you takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
